Flamenco Americana es una fusión musical transatlántica. En inglés varia la cantante y tocaora Kati Golenko entre canciones de folk y jazz de los Estados Unidos y temas propios. Los palos y la guitarra muy flamencos sorprenden y dan profundidad a temas clásicos del folk americano. De esta manera Kati nos invita a acompañarla, junto al maestro de percusión flamenca Miguel Reyes Jiménez y la bailaora Elena La Taranta, en su viaje entre continentes y culturas.
Después de haber pasado por una formación musical clásica, Kati Golenko se encantó con los emociones y la complejidad que conlleva el flamenco. Nacida y crecida en Los Estados Unidos y de origen Polaca, decide Kati expresar la unión de América y Europa, que vive y que siente, en el proyecto Flamenco Americana. Entre el festival Flamenco on Fire en 2018, conciertos en Arabia Saudí, invitada por la embajada de España, y tocar en el renombrado tablao Casa Patas en Madrid, Kati ha recorrido en muy poco tiempo un viaje artístico importante.
Flamenco Americana is a transatlantic musical fusion. En English varies the singer and flamenco guitar player Kati Golenko between folk and jazz songs from the USA and songs of her own. The flamenco rhythms and guitar surprise and give profundity to American folk classics. In this way Kati invites us to accompany her, next to the flamenco percussion master Miguel Reyes Jiménez and the flamenco dancer Elena La Taranta, on her journey between continents and cultures.
After having passed through a classic musical formation Kati Golenko fall in love with the emotions and the complexity of flamenco. Born and raised in the United States and with Polish origins, Kati decides to express the union of America and Europe, that she feels and lives, by the project Flamenco Americana. Playing at the festival Flamenco on Fire in 2018, having concerts in Saudi Arabia with an invitation from the Spanish embassy and being an artist on the stage of the famous flamenco venue Casa Patas in Madrid, Kati has made quiet an artistic journey in little time.
